3D Printing

This page is for the instructions to some of the 3D printed items I have created.

Kadee Servo Controlled Uncoupler

Non Printed Components
2 x 60x10x3mm N35 Neodymium Magnets
1 x MG90 servo
50mm of 3mm diameter rod or tube
Double sided foam tape (I used 3M)

Print requirements

I have tested this on an original Ender 3 and an Ender 3 KE

It will print in PLA, PLA+, PETG or ABS

I used PLA+ and Creality Hyper PLA in testing.

No supports are required

Turnout Servo Mount with Microswitch

Simple to print servo mount for under baseboard turnout control on model railways. DCC or Analogue.
Microswitch mount included to change frog polarity if required.

Non Printed Components
You will need a MG90 or SG90 servo

2 x M2.5 Bolts for mounting the servo (optional and not used in my tests)
Piano Wire 0.5-0.8mm diameter.
Optional (if frog polarity switching required)
2 x M2 Nut and Bolts 15-20mm in length
Microswitch

Print requirements

I have tested this on an original Ender 3 and an Ender 3 KE

I used PLA+ and Creality Hyper PLA in testing (Early test models have been running over a year)

It will print in PLA, PLA+, PETG or ABS

I have printed with 0.4mm and 0.2mm layers

and

0.2mm nozzle with 0.12mm layers

No supports are required
